April Schulte

Director

April Schulte has been part of the TSONS community since 2001, and ten years later her first daughter started at the school as a student. She brings more than two decades of experience and leadership to her role as Co-Director. She graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Sociology with a minor in Women’s Studies, and continued her professional development by completing her Early Childhood Education coursework and certifications through UCLA.

Throughout her career at the school, April has served in a wide range of roles that reflect both her versatility and deep commitment to early childhood education. She began in administrative support, became the school’s Office Manager, and then spent 15 years as Admissions Coordinator before being named Co-Director in 2024. In addition to her administrative leadership, she has supported teachers in the classroom, conducted developmental observations and collaborated with staff to ensure each child’s individual needs are understood and nurtured. Her guidance has been invaluable in helping families navigate big life events and make thoughtful decisions about kindergarten readiness.

April brings a strong understanding of early childhood development and the needs of young children and their families.

As both a parent of two TSONS preschool alumni (2011–2016) and a long-standing member of the school community, April offers a unique blend of professional expertise and personal insight. She also serves on the Board of Directors, helping to guide the long-term vision and future planning for the school. Her family loves camping, hiking, and going to the beach. She also enjoys those rare and special moments of quiet when she gets a chance to sit and read.
